SI70YE00 Datasheet

SI70YE00 is a 70 shore A yellow silicone (VMQ) compound designed for general purpose sealing applications where color identification and environmental resistance are important. This material provides reliable performance in O-rings and gaskets exposed to ozone, detergents, salt water, and vegetable and animal oils, making it well suited for industrial and outdoor use. Its bright yellow color allows for easy identification and sorting in maintenance or assembly environments, while maintaining flexibility across a service temperature range of -60°C to 205°C. SI70YE00 meets ASTM D2000 MGE706 requirements and can be compared to Parker S1138-70 when evaluating equivalent silicone sealing materials.

 

Silicone rubber, commonly referred to as VMQ, is widely used in O-rings and gaskets due to its broad temperature range and excellent resistance to environmental degradation. These materials maintain elasticity in both extreme cold and heat, making them ideal for applications involving thermal cycling and outdoor exposure. Silicone compounds are commonly used in industrial, food processing, and general sealing applications where ozone resistance and long service life are required. While highly versatile, they are generally not recommended for use with petroleum fuels or certain aggressive chemicals, making proper material selection important.
