VM330-75 Datasheet

Parker VM330-75 is a 75 shore A black FKM compound designed as a general purpose sealing material for a wide range of industrial applications. This compound meets ASTM D2000 M2HK810 requirements and provides excellent resistance to mineral oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, and both aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in fluid handling and fuel systems. It also offers strong resistance to ozone, weathering, aging, and high vacuum environments, ensuring long-term sealing reliability. With a typical service temperature range of -15°F to 400°F, VM330-75 can be compared to other general purpose FKM materials when evaluating equivalent compounds.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to heat, fuels, and aggressive chemicals is essential. General purpose FKM compounds like VM330-75 provide a balanced combination of chemical resistance, thermal stability, and durability, making them suitable for automotive, aerospace, and industrial sealing applications. These materials maintain good compression set resistance and sealing integrity over time, even in harsh environments. While highly versatile, FKM compounds are generally not recommended for glycol-based brake fluids, strong alkalis, amines, or superheated steam, making proper material selection critical.
