VT60BK20, FKM, GF, Black, 60A
VT60BK20 is Canyon Components’ black, 60 Shore A FKM Type GF compound, offering improved chemical resistance in a softer durometer formulation. It combines flexibility with heat resistance for demanding sealing applications and is an option to evaluate alongside Parker V0769-60.
With a service temperature range of -16°C to 225°C (3°F to 437°F), VT60BK20 provides high-temperature stability and excellent resistance to weathering and aging. Its formulation offers improved resistance to steam, acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons, making it a versatile choice for applications requiring both chemical resistance and thermal durability.
VT60BK20 is specified to ASTM D2000 M2HK610 A1-10 B37 EF31 EO78 F16. Reported physical properties include a hardness of 60 Shore A, tensile strength of 1,522 psi (10.5 MPa), and elongation of 300%, exceeding the listed minimum tensile and elongation requirements. Canyon Components also offers FKM Types A, B, F, GLT, GFLT, ULT, and ETP to address other chemical and temperature requirements.
