VT70BK01 Datasheet

VT70BK01 is a 70 shore A black FKM Type A compound designed for FDA compliant sealing applications where chemical resistance and durability are critical. This material meets FDA CFR 21 177.2600 requirements, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in food processing, beverage systems, and sanitary equipment. It provides excellent resistance to heat, fuels, oils, and a wide range of industrial chemicals, along with strong durability against ozone, weathering, and aging. With a service temperature range of -26°C to 225°C, VT70BK01 meets ASTM D2000 M2HK710 requirements and offers reliable performance in regulated environments.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is essential. FDA compliant FKM materials are specifically developed for use in food and beverage industries, combining strong chemical resistance with regulatory compliance and long service life. These materials are commonly used in applications requiring clean, durable sealing solutions under demanding conditions. While highly versatile, FKM materials are generally not recommended for hot water, steam, or certain polar solvents, making proper material selection important.
