VT70BU04 Datasheet

VT70BU04 is a 70 shore A blue FKM Type A compound designed for food manufacturing applications where both FDA compliance and metal detectability are critical. This material allows O-rings and gaskets to be identified by metal detection systems in the event of contamination, helping improve safety and quality control in processing environments. It offers excellent resistance to heat, fuels, oils, and a wide range of industrial chemicals, along with strong durability against ozone, weathering, and aging. With a service temperature range of -26°C to 225°C, VT70BU04 meets ASTM D2000 M2HK707 requirements and delivers reliable performance in regulated environments.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is essential. FDA compliant and metal detectable FKM compounds are specifically engineered for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, combining chemical resistance with enhanced contamination detection capabilities. These materials maintain strong sealing integrity over long service periods, even in demanding processing conditions. While highly versatile, FKM materials are generally not recommended for hot water, steam, or certain polar solvents, making proper material selection important.
