VT70GR05 Datasheet

VT70GR05 is a 70 shore A green FKM Type A compound formulated for FDA compliant sealing applications where both chemical resistance and regulatory requirements are critical. This material meets FDA CFR 21 177.2600 standards, making it well suited for O-rings and gaskets used in food processing, beverage handling, and sanitary equipment. It offers excellent resistance to heat, fuels, oils, and a wide range of industrial chemicals, along with strong durability against ozone, weathering, and aging. With a service temperature range of -26°C to 225°C, VT70GR05 meets ASTM D2000 M2HK710 requirements and provides a reliable, cost-effective solution for regulated environments.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is essential. FDA compliant FKM materials are specifically formulated to meet food contact regulations while maintaining the core benefits of fluorocarbon elastomers, including strong chemical resistance and long service life. These materials are commonly used in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical processing industries where both performance and compliance are required. While highly versatile, FKM compounds are generally not recommended for hot water, steam, or certain polar solvents, making proper material selection important for long-term sealing success.
