VT90BK00 Datasheet

VT90BK00 is a 90 shore A black FKM Type A compound designed as a durable, cost-effective solution for high hardness sealing applications. Its increased durometer improves extrusion resistance and structural stability, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in high pressure systems, tight clearances, and demanding industrial environments. This material provides excellent resistance to heat, fuels, oils, and a wide range of chemicals, along with strong durability against ozone, weathering, and aging. With a service temperature range of -26°C to 225°C, VT90BK00 meets ASTM D2000 M2HK910 requirements and can be compared to Parker compounds such as V0709-90 and VA153-90 when evaluating equivalent FKM materials.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is essential. Type A FKM materials are general purpose grades that provide a strong balance of chemical resistance, thermal stability, and cost efficiency. Higher durometer variants like 90A are commonly selected for applications requiring improved extrusion resistance and mechanical strength under load. While highly versatile, FKM materials are generally not recommended for hot water, steam, or certain polar solvents, making proper material selection important for long-term sealing success.
