Canyon AF90BK01 is a 90 durometer black AFLAS® (TFE/P) elastomer specifically engineered for anti-explosive decompression (AED) O-rings and gaskets. Tested to meet NORSOK M710 and NACE TM0187 standards, this compound provides exceptional performance in high-pressure, sour gas, and rapid gas decompression environments. Its formulation offers outstanding resistance to amines, acids, bases, and high-pressure steam, making it ideal for oilfield, chemical processing, and high-temperature sealing applications. The high durometer rating ensures superior extrusion resistance, dimensional stability, and long-term sealing integrity under extreme conditions.

 

AF90BK01 operates effectively from -10°C to 232°C (15°F to 450°F) while maintaining excellent compression set and mechanical strength. The compound’s resistance to explosive decompression makes it well-suited for dynamic sealing in deep-well, subsea, and gas compression systems. With up to 200 MRad of gamma radiation resistance, AF90BK01 also supports sterilization and high-purity applications. This premium AFLAS® formulation delivers reliable sealing performance where standard elastomers fail under pressure, heat, and chemical attack.
