Parker’s C0267-50 is a 50 Shore A black Neoprene (Chloroprene, CR) compound engineered for low-temperature sealing applications that require flexibility and balanced oil and environmental resistance. With a service temperature range of -60°F to 250°F, it maintains elasticity in cold conditions while performing reliably with paraffin-based mineral oils, silicone oils and greases, water and water-based fluids at lower temperatures, refrigerants, ammonia, and carbon dioxide. Compared to nitrile, this compound offers improved resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging, supporting longer service life in outdoor and refrigeration environments. Its softer durometer makes it well suited for applications requiring enhanced conformability and low-temperature sealing performance.
C0267-50 meets ASTM D2000 M2BC510 requirements and is MIL-G-1149 Type I Class I and AMS 3208 compliant, making it suitable for military, aerospace, and industrial applications. It has limited compatibility with naphthenic mineral oils such as IRM 902 and IRM 903 and glycol-based brake fluids. This compound is not recommended for aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, or polar solvents such as ketones, esters, and ethers.
