The Parker C0873-70 Neoprene (Chloroprene, CR) compound is a 70 durometer black elastomer designed for O-rings and gaskets in refrigeration and general industrial sealing applications. It provides excellent resistance to refrigerant gases, paraffin-based oils, silicone lubricants, and water-based fluids, maintaining stability over a service range of -35°F to 225°F. The material’s low extractable content and low compression set make it ideal for systems where chemical cleanliness and long-term sealing reliability are critical. Its superior resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging also ensures consistent performance in harsh environments.
C0873-70 meets ASTM D2000 M2BE710 specifications, confirming its quality and durability for refrigeration and HVAC service. However, it is not suitable for use with aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, or polar solvents such as ketones and esters. This Neoprene compound offers a dependable, versatile sealing solution where resistance to refrigerants and environmental degradation is essential.
