The Parker C1124-70 Neoprene (Chloroprene, CR) compound is a 70 durometer black elastomer engineered for O-rings and gaskets requiring reliable low-temperature performance. With an operating range from -60°F to 250°F, it maintains flexibility and sealing integrity in cold environments while resisting oils, refrigerants, and moisture. The compound performs well with paraffin-based mineral oils, silicone lubricants, water, ammonia, and carbon dioxide, offering improved ozone, weather, and aging resistance compared to nitrile. Its low-temperature capability and strong mechanical stability make it suitable for dynamic or static seals in refrigeration, aerospace, and industrial systems.
C1124-70 meets ASTM D2000 M3BC707 and AMS 3209 specifications, ensuring consistent quality and compliance with aerospace standards. It is not recommended for use with aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, or polar solvents such as ketones and esters. This Neoprene formulation provides a durable, cost-effective sealing solution for applications that demand dependable performance across wide temperature variations.
