With a recommended service temperature range of +5°F to 525°F, it demonstrates excellent resilience and stability across wide thermal conditions, including prolonged exposure to hot water and steam. FF580-75 offers broad chemical compatibility with petroleum and synthetic hydrocarbon oils and greases, silicone fluids, acids, bases, alcohols, aggressive polar solvents such as MEK and acetone, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents, automotive brake fluids, and aircraft hydraulic fluids. Its formulation maintains sealing integrity and elastic recovery where conventional elastomers lose strength under combined heat and chemical stress.
FF580-75 is commonly used in O-rings, gaskets, and custom seals for chemical processing equipment, steam systems, fluid handling assemblies, and high-temperature industrial applications. It is not recommended for fluorinated refrigerant gases, perfluorinated ether fluids, or molten alkali metals.
