DuPont™ Kalrez® 1050LF is an 82 Shore A black perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) compound designed as a general-purpose sealing material for demanding chemical processing environments. It provides excellent resistance to hot water, steam, and amines, along with strong mechanical properties and low compression set for long-term sealing reliability. With a maximum recommended service temperature of 288°C (550°F) and pressure capability up to 10.34 MPa (1500 psi), Kalrez® 1050LF maintains stability and elasticity in aggressive chemical and high-temperature applications. It is not recommended for continuous exposure to organic or inorganic acids at elevated temperatures.
Kalrez® 1050LF is widely used in O-rings, gaskets, and custom seals for chemical processing, oil and gas, and industrial systems that require broad chemical compatibility and thermal endurance. Its balance of strength, flexibility, and compression set resistance supports both static and dynamic sealing conditions.
