Parker’s LM151-50 is a 50 Shore A blue fluorosilicone (FVMQ) compound designed as a general-purpose sealing material for applications requiring excellent fuel resistance and wide temperature capability. It operates reliably across a service temperature range of approximately -100°F to 350°F, maintaining flexibility at very low temperatures while remaining stable under dry heat conditions. This compound offers strong compatibility with aromatic mineral oils, petroleum oils, jet fuels, low molecular weight aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene and toluene, and chlorinated solvents. Its lower durometer allows improved conformability and sealing performance under low clamp loads in both static and light dynamic applications.

LM151-50 is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets in aerospace, automotive, and industrial fuel system applications where low-temperature elasticity and fuel compatibility are critical. It is not recommended for phosphate esters, acids, ketones, amines including ammonia, or automotive and aircraft brake fluids. This fluorosilicone grade is often selected as a flexible alternative where higher-durometer FVMQ materials are unnecessary. Canyon Components offers equivalent fluorosilicone materials designed to match the temperature range, fuel resistance, and sealing performance of Parker LM151-50 for general-purpose fuel and solvent sealing applications.
