Parker’s LM160-80 is an 80 Shore A blue fluorosilicone (FVMQ) compound engineered for aerospace and industrial sealing applications that require higher hardness, fuel resistance, and stable performance across extreme temperature ranges. Designed for operation from approximately -90°F to 350°F, it maintains sealing integrity in low-temperature environments while delivering improved extrusion resistance and dimensional stability at elevated temperatures. The fluorosilicone polymer provides excellent compatibility with fuels and solvents, making this material well suited for aviation fuel systems and fluid handling components exposed to hydrocarbons. Its higher durometer supports better resistance to deformation in static and moderate dynamic sealing applications.

LM160-80 is manufactured to MIL-DTL-25988 and meets MIL/Aero requirements, supporting use in regulated aerospace environments. It is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets in fuel systems, sensors, and enclosures where low-temperature flexibility and fuel compatibility must be paired with added stiffness. This compound is selected when a firmer fluorosilicone material is needed to improve sealing robustness without sacrificing cold-temperature performance. Canyon Components offers equivalent fluorosilicone materials designed to match the temperature capability, fuel resistance, and specification profile of Parker LM160-80 for aerospace and industrial sealing applications.
