Parker’s N1510-70 is a 70 Shore A black nitrile rubber (NBR) compound engineered for sealing applications that require NSF 61 compliance for potable water contact along with dependable oil resistance. Qualified to ASTM D2000 M2BG714, it delivers consistent sealing performance across a service temperature range of -30°F to 225°F while maintaining good compression set resistance and mechanical stability. This compound is compatible with petroleum-based oils, water up to 212°F, salt and alkali solutions, and weak acids, making it suitable for municipal water systems, plumbing components, and industrial fluid-handling equipment. Its balanced hardness supports reliable use in static and light dynamic O-rings and gaskets where regulatory compliance and durability are required.
N1510-70 is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets in drinking water systems, pumps, valves, and general equipment that must meet NSF 61 requirements. It is not recommended for aromatic fuels, strong acids, glycols, ozone exposure, or polar solvents. This NSF-approved nitrile material provides a practical solution when potable water compliance and oil compatibility must be combined in a cost-effective elastomer. Canyon Components offers equivalent NSF 61 compliant NBR materials designed to match the temperature capability, fluid compatibility, and performance profile of Parker N1510-70.
