Parker S1224-70 is a 70 shore A rust-colored silicone (VMQ/PVMQ) compound qualified to AMS 3304, AMS 3357, MIL-G-21569 Class 2, and A-A-59588 Class 2a and 2b Grade 70 specifications. This material is well suited for O-rings and gaskets used in aerospace and industrial applications where stable performance under temperature extremes and environmental exposure is required. It provides good resistance to animal and vegetable oils, chlorinated aromatic fluids, diluted salt solutions, and moderate water exposure, along with excellent durability against ozone, aging, and weathering. With a typical service temperature range of -65°F to 450°F, S1224-70 can be compared to other military and AMS-grade silicone materials when evaluating equivalent high performance sealing solutions.
