CanGuard® SI65GY55 is a 65 Shore A gray conductive silicone elastomer filled with nickel-plated aluminum particles, engineered for high-performance EMI and RFI shielding. Designed to meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-83528, this material provides excellent electrical conductivity and effective shielding performance while maintaining flexibility and compressibility. With a service temperature range of -55°C to 160°C (-67°F to 320°F), SI65GY55 offers stable mechanical and conductive properties across wide thermal variations, making it suitable for use in enclosures, connectors, and electronic housings.

 

This compound provides an optimal balance between conductivity, durability, and cost efficiency, making it an excellent choice for military, aerospace, and industrial electronic systems. It is not recommended for environments with prolonged salt mist exposure or applications subject to high abrasion. Canyon Components offers equivalent conductive silicone materials that match or exceed the performance of SI65GY55 for EMI/RFI shielding and environmental sealing applications.
