Parker V0709-90 is a 90 shore A black FKM compound developed to meet AMS-R-83248 Type 1, Class 2 and AMS 7259 requirements, offering high performance sealing in aerospace and industrial environments. This material provides strong resistance to petroleum, mineral, and vegetable oils, along with compatibility with aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, making it well suited for fuel systems, high vacuum applications, and aggressive chemical exposure. It also demonstrates excellent resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging, supporting long-term durability in O-rings and gaskets operating between approximately -150°F and 400°F. Parker V0709-90 can be compared to other aerospace grade FKM materials with similar specifications when evaluating equivalent compounds for critical sealing applications.

 

FKM, commonly known under trade names like Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where chemical resistance and elevated temperature capability are required.
