Parker V1412-90 is a 90 shore A brown FKM compound designed for general purpose sealing in high temperature and chemically aggressive environments. This material meets ASTM D2000 M7HK914 requirements and provides excellent resistance to petroleum, mineral, and vegetable oils, along with compatibility with aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Its high durometer enhances extrusion resistance, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in high pressure systems and tight tolerance applications. With a typical service temperature range of approximately -15°F to 400°F, V1412-90 also delivers strong resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging for long-term sealing reliability.
FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is essential. Higher durometer FKM materials like 90A are commonly selected for applications requiring improved mechanical strength and resistance to deformation under load.
