Parker VG162-75 is a 75 shore A black FKM compound in the “GF” type category, formulated for improved compression set resistance and reliable long-term sealing performance. This material is well suited for O-rings and gaskets in fuel systems, vacuum environments, and applications involving petroleum, mineral, and vegetable oils, as well as aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons. It offers strong resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging, helping maintain sealing integrity over extended service intervals within a temperature range of approximately -150°F to 400°F. Parker VG162-75 can be compared to other GF-type FKM compounds designed for enhanced compression set performance in dynamic and static sealing applications.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and harsh chemicals is required.
