E1028-70 Datasheet
Parker, E1028-70 EPDM, 70A, Black, FDA
Parker’s E1028-70 is a 70 Shore A black EPDM compound formulated as an FDA-compliant material for sealing applications exposed to water-based, polar, and cleaning media. With a service temperature range of -70°F to 250°F, it maintains flexibility at low temperatures while providing reliable performance in hot water and steam environments. The compound is compatible with glycol-based brake fluids, phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids, silicone oils and greases, many organic and inorganic acids, cleaning agents, sodium and potassium alkalis, and a wide range of polar solvents. Its inherent resistance to ozone, aging, and weathering supports long-term sealing integrity in sanitary and industrial environments.
E1028-70 is commonly used in food-contact, fluid handling, and industrial sealing applications where FDA compliance and resistance to water-based chemistries are required. It is not recommended for exposure to mineral oil products such as oils, greases, or fuels. Canyon Components offers equivalent FDA-compliant EPDM materials designed to meet similar thermal, chemical, and regulatory requirements for sanitary and chemical sealing applications.
