Parker’s EJ274-70 is a 70 Shore A black EPDM compound that is both internally lubricated and chloramine resistant, designed for potable water and disinfection system sealing applications. Meeting ASTM D2000 M4CA710 specifications, it delivers reliable performance across a service temperature range of -70°F to 250°F. The compound provides excellent resistance to hot water, steam, ozone, and weathering while maintaining flexibility and sealing integrity under continuous exposure to chloramine-treated environments. Its internal lubrication enhances assembly efficiency, reducing friction and installation damage.

Certified to NSF 61, EJ274-70 is ideal for use in plumbing, municipal water, and other potable water contact applications requiring high durability and low extractables. It combines long-term resistance to disinfectants with mechanical stability for both static and dynamic seals.
