EJ273-70 Datasheet

Parker’s EJ273-70 is a 70 Shore A black EPDM compound engineered for superior resistance to chloramine and other disinfectants commonly used in potable water systems. Designed to meet ASTM D2000 M4CA710 specifications, it provides excellent sealing performance in both hot and cold water applications with a service temperature range of -70°F to 250°F. The compound offers outstanding resistance to water, steam, ozone, and weathering, along with reliable performance in chloramine-treated environments where standard EPDM materials often degrade. Its stable formulation ensures long-term elasticity, low compression set, and consistent sealing integrity.

 

EJ273-70 is well-suited for use in plumbing, municipal water systems, and other applications requiring compatibility with drinking water and disinfection chemicals. It provides excellent aging resistance and mechanical durability under repeated pressure and temperature cycling.
