EA454-50 Datasheet

Parker’s EA454-50 is a 50 Shore A black EPDM compound designed for applications that require flexibility, environmental resistance, and dependable performance in water-based and polar-fluid environments. With a service temperature range of -70°F to 250°F, it maintains elasticity at low temperatures while performing reliably in hot water and steam service. This compound is compatible with glycol-based brake fluids, phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids, silicone oils and greases, many organic and inorganic acids, cleaning agents, alkalis, and a wide range of polar solvents. Its EPDM formulation also provides excellent resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging, supporting long service life in exposed industrial and electrical applications.

 

EA454-50 is UL listed and commonly used in industrial equipment, electrical components, and general sealing applications where softer EPDM materials are preferred to accommodate movement, vibration, or lower sealing loads. It is not recommended for contact with mineral oil products such as oils, greases, or fuels.
