EJ274-70 Datasheet

Parker’s EJ274-70 is a 70 Shore A black EPDM compound that is internally lubricated and engineered for chloramine-resistant sealing in potable water and disinfection system applications. Designed to meet ASTM D2000 M4CA710 specifications, it provides dependable sealing performance across a service temperature range of -70°F to 250°F. The compound offers excellent resistance to hot water, steam, ozone, and weathering while maintaining flexibility and low compression set under continuous exposure to chloramine-treated environments. Its internal lubrication reduces installation friction, helping prevent seal damage during assembly and improving consistency in field installation.

 

Certified to NSF 61, EJ274-70 is well suited for plumbing components, municipal water systems, and other drinking water contact applications that require durability, low extractables, and long service life. It delivers reliable mechanical stability in both static and dynamic sealing conditions exposed to disinfectants and thermal cycling.
