EP85BK20 Datasheet

Canyon’s EP85BK20 is a sulfur-cured black EPDM compound produced with a tight durometer tolerance in the 85 to 90 Shore A range, making it well suited for applications requiring consistent hardness and dimensional stability. It offers strong resistance to weathering, ozone, and environmental exposure, along with good heat resistance, abrasion resistance, and low compression set for dependable long-term sealing. With a service temperature range of -55°C to 130°C (-67°F to 266°F), EP85BK20 maintains mechanical integrity across typical industrial operating conditions. Its controlled hardness range supports improved extrusion resistance and load-bearing performance in static and moderate dynamic seals.

 

EP85BK20 meets ASTM D2000 M4BA810 requirements and is commonly used in industrial equipment, enclosures, and general sealing applications where higher durometer EPDM is required at a cost-effective price point. The sulfur-cured formulation provides stable performance while maintaining sufficient elasticity for effective sealing. This compound is often selected when tight hardness control and durability are critical design requirements.
