EP95BK20 Datasheet
EP95BK20, EPDM, L'GARDE-CR, Black, AED, HT, Steam, 95A
Canyon’s EP95BK20 is an extremely high-temperature steam-resistant EPDM compound formulated at a very high 95 Shore A hardness for applications exposed to extreme pressure and extrusion forces. Developed using L’Garde Y267 technology, it delivers reliable sealing performance in hot water and steam service up to 290°C (554°F), with short-term steam excursions reaching 315°C (600°F). The very high durometer provides exceptional resistance to extrusion and deformation while maintaining strong abrasion resistance and long-term durability. EP95BK20 is resistant to polar fluids but is not recommended for use with hydrocarbon fuels or oils, consistent with EPDM chemistry.
EP95BK20 is commonly used in geothermal, energy, and industrial steam systems where conventional elastomers fail under extreme heat and pressure. Its combination of extreme hardness, steam stability, and weathering resistance makes it well suited for valves, pumps, and critical high-temperature process sealing applications. This compound is frequently cross-referenced as an alternative to Parker E0962-90 for extreme high-temperature steam EPDM sealing requirements.
