DuPont™ Kalrez® 8575 (KP8575) is a high-purity white perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) engineered for semiconductor oxidation, diffusion, and other high-temperature vacuum applications where ultra-low outgassing and long-term seal stability are critical. Designed for static and low-stress sealing, this material provides excellent resistance to dry process gases and minimizes contamination risk through very low extractables and reduced particle generation. Kalrez® 8575 maintains reliable sealing performance at sustained elevated temperatures, with strong compression set resistance and long-term seal force retention in thermal cycling environments. Its white, non-carbon black formulation supports visual inspection and is supplied with ultrapure post-cleaning and packaging for cleanroom use.
Kalrez® 8575 is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets in quartz tube seals, gas feedthroughs, bell jar seals, plenum seals, and other critical components in semiconductor furnaces and vacuum process equipment. It is especially well suited for oxidation and diffusion processes where conventional elastomers exhibit excessive outgassing or loss of mechanical integrity. This compound is selected when process yield, contamination control, and thermal stability are primary design drivers.
