Parker, N0103-70 NBR, 70A, Black, Low Temp
Parker’s N0103-70 is a 70 Shore A black nitrile rubber (NBR) compound engineered for low-temperature sealing applications where flexibility and oil resistance are required. Designed to operate across a service temperature range of -55°F to 225°F, it maintains elasticity in cold environments while providing reliable sealing performance in contact with petroleum-based oils. This compound is also compatible with water up to 212°F, salt and alkali solutions, and weak acids, making it suitable for a range of industrial fluid-handling applications. Its balanced formulation supports consistent compression set behavior and dependable sealing in static and moderate dynamic conditions.
N0103-70 meets the requirements of ASTM D2000/J200 5BG720 and is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets in hydraulic systems, industrial equipment, and low-temperature service environments where standard nitrile materials may harden. It is not recommended for aromatic fuels, strong acids, glycols, ozone exposure, or polar solvents. This low-temperature NBR grade provides a practical solution when cold flexibility and oil compatibility are the primary design drivers. Canyon Components offers equivalent nitrile materials designed to match the low-temperature performance and fluid compatibility of Parker N0103-70 for general-purpose sealing applications.
