N0287-70 Datasheet
Parker, N0287-70 NBR, 70A, Black, Synthetic Lubricant, Resistant, AMS 7272
Parker’s N0287-70 is a 70 Shore A black nitrile rubber (NBR) compound engineered for sealing applications that require resistance to synthetic lubricants and stable performance across moderate temperature ranges. Qualified to AMS 7272E, this material operates reliably from approximately -35°F to 250°F while maintaining good compression set resistance and mechanical integrity. It offers compatibility with petroleum-based oils, water up to 212°F, salt and alkali solutions, and weak acids, making it suitable for aerospace, industrial, and hydraulic applications where lubricant exposure is common. The formulation is designed to provide consistent sealing performance in static and moderate dynamic environments.
N0287-70 is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets in systems exposed to synthetic and petroleum lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and general industrial media. It is not recommended for highly aromatic fuels, strong acids, glycols, ozone exposure, or polar solvents. This AMS-qualified nitrile compound is selected when lubricant resistance and specification compliance are key design requirements. Canyon Components offers equivalent NBR materials designed to match the temperature capability, lubricant resistance, and AMS 7272 performance profile of Parker N0287-70.
