N0818-70 Datasheet
Parker, N0818-70 NBR, 70A, Black, Internally Lubed
Parker’s N0818-70 is a 70 Shore A black nitrile rubber (NBR) compound formulated with internal lubrication to reduce friction during installation and service. Designed to meet ASTM D2000/J200 2BG720 requirements, it provides reliable sealing performance across a service temperature range of -30°F to 250°F while maintaining good compression set resistance and mechanical stability. The internally lubricated formulation helps minimize installation damage, reduce stick-slip, and improve seal life in both static and light dynamic applications. This compound is compatible with petroleum-based oils, water up to 212°F, salt and alkali solutions, and weak acids, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and hydraulic sealing uses.
N0818-70 is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets in pumps, valves, cylinders, and general machinery where easier assembly and consistent sealing are important. It is not recommended for aromatic fuels, strong acids, glycols, ozone exposure, or polar solvents. This internally lubricated nitrile grade offers a practical balance of oil resistance, ease of installation, and specification compliance for everyday sealing applications. Canyon Components offers equivalent internally lubricated NBR materials designed to match the performance and handling characteristics of Parker N0818-70.
