Parker, N0951-75 NBR, 75A, Black, How Temp, Low Compression Set

Parker’s N0951-75 is a 75 Shore A black nitrile rubber (NBR) compound engineered for higher-temperature sealing applications that require low compression set and stable mechanical performance. Qualified to ASTM D2000 3CH815, it operates reliably across a service temperature range of -25°F to 275°F while maintaining dimensional stability and sealing force under sustained load. This compound is compatible with petroleum-based oils, water up to 212°F, salt and alkali solutions, and weak acids, making it suitable for hydraulic and industrial fluid-handling systems exposed to elevated temperatures. Its balanced hardness supports dependable sealing in static and moderate dynamic O-ring and gasket applications where standard nitrile materials may relax over time.

N0951-75 is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets in pumps, valves, compressors, and general industrial equipment where improved heat resistance and long-term compression set performance are required. It is not recommended for aromatic fuels, strong acids, glycols, ozone exposure, or polar solvents. This nitrile grade provides a practical solution when higher-temperature capability is needed without moving to more costly specialty elastomers. Canyon Components offers equivalent NBR materials designed to match the temperature capability, low compression set behavior, and performance profile of Parker N0951-75.
