N1499-70 Datasheet

Parker’s N1499-70 is a 70 Shore A black nitrile rubber (NBR) compound designed as a general-purpose sealing material with UL listing for industrial and commercial applications. Qualified to ASTM D2000 2BG714, it provides reliable sealing performance across a service temperature range of -30°F to 250°F while maintaining good flexibility, compression set resistance, and mechanical stability. This compound is compatible with petroleum-based oils, water up to 212°F, salt and alkali solutions, and weak acids, making it suitable for a wide range of hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems. Its balanced durometer supports dependable use in static and moderate dynamic O-rings and gaskets where consistent oil resistance is required.

 

N1499-70 is commonly used in pumps, valves, industrial machinery, and general equipment where UL recognition and general-purpose nitrile performance are desired. It is not recommended for aromatic fuels, strong acids, glycols, ozone exposure, or polar solvents. This compound offers a cost-effective and specification-backed solution for everyday sealing needs.
