PT55WH00 Datasheet

PT55WH00 is Canyon’s standard 55 Shore D white virgin PTFE material engineered for extreme chemical, thermal, and purity-critical environments. Manufactured from 100% PTFE, this material delivers near-universal chemical resistance, excellent high- and low-temperature stability, and inherent self-lubricating performance with very low gas permeability. With a continuous service temperature range of -268°C to 260°C (-450°F to 500°F) and short excursions up to 288°C (550°F), PT55WH00 maintains dimensional stability and mechanical integrity where many polymers fail. Its FDA compliance under 21 CFR 177.1550 and USP Class VI rating make it suitable for regulated applications requiring high purity and low extractables.

 

PT55WH00 is commonly used for backup rings, spring-energized seal components, and precision plastic components that support O-rings and gaskets in semiconductor manufacturing, chemical processing, and aggressive solvent service. It performs reliably in contact with MEK, DMF, acetone, and other harsh chemicals while minimizing friction and wear in dynamic assemblies.
