PTCOTR00 Datasheet

PTCOTR00 is Canyon’s translucent CanCoat PTFE coating engineered as a dry surface lubricant for O-rings, gaskets, washers, and other flexible sealing components. This thin PTFE coating reduces friction during assembly to help prevent binding, seizing, sticking, and hang-ups without altering part tolerances or dimensions. With a service temperature range of -268°C to 150°C (-450°F to 300°F) and short excursions up to 175°C (350°F), PTCOTR00 supports easier installation and improved handling across a wide range of production environments. The coating can be tinted in multiple colors for part identification and process control while remaining corrosion resistant and cost effective.

 

PTCOTR00 is intended for assembly assistance rather than continuous dynamic wear, as it has limited abrasion resistance and may wear or flake over time in motion. Its porous structure does not add chemical resistance to the base material, making it best suited for static or light-duty applications where clean, dry lubrication is required. This PTFE coating is widely used to streamline manufacturing, reduce scrap from installation damage, and improve consistency when installing elastomeric seals.
