SI80OR13 Datasheet

SI80OR13, Sil, PVMQ, Orange, ZZ-R-765 Class 1a & 1b, LT, 80A

SI80OR13 is an 80 shore A orange PVMQ silicone compound engineered for ultra low temperature sealing applications where standard elastomers lose flexibility. This material delivers excellent compression set resistance and maintains reliable sealing performance down to -82°C, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in aerospace, cryogenic, and extreme cold industrial environments. It also provides strong resistance to oxygen, ozone, and UV exposure, supporting long-term durability in harsh conditions. SI80OR13 meets ZZ-R-765 Class 1a and 1b requirements and conforms to ASTM D2000 7GE807, offering a dependable solution for low temperature sealing challenges.

PVMQ, or fluorosilicone rubber, is a specialized form of silicone that combines the low temperature flexibility of VMQ with improved resistance to fuels, oils, and certain solvents. These materials are widely used in O-rings and gaskets where both chemical exposure and extreme temperature conditions are present. Compared to standard silicone, PVMQ offers enhanced fuel resistance while maintaining excellent performance in cold environments, making it a preferred choice for aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. While highly versatile, it may not match FKM in high temperature chemical resistance, so proper material selection is essential.
