SI70TR37 Datasheet

SI70TR37 is a 70 shore A translucent silicone (VMQ) compound that is platinum cured and clean room manufactured for high purity sealing applications. This material meets USP Class VI <87> and <88> and FDA requirements, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in pharmaceutical, medical device, and food processing environments. It offers excellent resistance to high temperatures, fungal growth, and environmental exposure while maintaining consistent performance across a service temperature range of -55°C to 205°C. SI70TR37 meets ASTM D2000 M7GE706 requirements and is well suited for applications where cleanliness, compliance, and reliable sealing performance are critical.

 

Silicone rubber, commonly referred to as VMQ, is widely used in O-rings and gaskets due to its broad temperature range and excellent biocompatibility in high purity formulations. Platinum cured silicone materials are specifically designed to minimize extractables and improve consistency, making them ideal for medical, pharmaceutical, and food grade applications. These materials maintain flexibility at low temperatures and stability at elevated temperatures, while also offering strong resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging. While highly versatile, silicone compounds are generally not recommended for use with petroleum fuels or certain aggressive chemicals, making proper material selection essential.
