V0763-60 Datasheet

Parker V0763-60 is a 60 shore A brown FKM compound designed as a general purpose sealing material for applications requiring flexibility and reliable chemical resistance. This compound meets ASTM D2000 6HK610 requirements and provides excellent resistance to petroleum, mineral, and vegetable oils, along with compatibility with aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Its lower durometer improves conformability, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in low pressure systems, tight tolerance grooves, and applications requiring enhanced sealing contact. With a typical service temperature range of approximately -15°F to 400°F, V0763-60 also offers strong resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging for long-term durability.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is essential. Lower durometer FKM materials like 60A are commonly selected for applications requiring flexibility and improved sealing in static conditions. These compounds provide a strong balance of chemical resistance, thermal stability, and durability across a wide range of industrial applications. While highly versatile, FKM materials are generally not recommended for hot water, steam, or certain polar solvents, making proper material selection important for long-term performance.
