V0769-60 Datasheet

Parker V0769-60 is a 60 shore A black FKM compound designed as a general purpose sealing material for applications requiring flexibility and reliable chemical resistance. Its lower durometer allows for improved conformability, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in low pressure systems, tight tolerance grooves, and applications requiring enhanced sealing contact. The material provides excellent resistance to petroleum, mineral, and vegetable oils, along with compatibility with aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, while also performing well in high vacuum environments. With a typical service temperature range of approximately -150°F to 400°F, V0769-60 offers dependable resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging, and can be compared to other standard FKM materials when evaluating equivalent compounds.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is essential. General purpose FKM compounds provide a balanced combination of chemical resistance, thermal stability, and durability across a wide range of industrial applications. Lower durometer variants like 60A are often selected for static sealing applications where flexibility and compression are critical for achieving an effective seal. While highly versatile, FKM materials are generally not recommended for hot water, steam, or certain polar solvents, making proper material selection important for long-term performance.
