Kalrez® FFKM giant O-rings for large diameter sealing are engineered for applications requiring extreme chemical resistance, high temperature capability, and reliable sealing across large flange or vessel interfaces. These perfluoroelastomer O-rings are used in oversized sealing applications where standard AS568 sizes are not sufficient, including large reactors, vacuum chambers, and industrial processing equipment. Kalrez® FFKM materials maintain sealing performance in aggressive chemical environments and elevated temperatures while providing long-term durability in static sealing applications involving O-rings, gaskets, and custom parts.
Due to the nature of perfluoroelastomer materials, splicing is not an effective solution for FFKM O-rings. Kalrez® FFKM giant O-rings are instead manufactured as fully molded or continuously molded parts to ensure uniform material properties, consistent cross-section, and reliable sealing performance. Kalrez® FFKM giant O-rings are used in large diameter sealing applications where chemical resistance, temperature stability, and long-term reliability are critical. These O-rings are widely specified in systems where leakage across large sealing surfaces cannot be tolerated. Because splicing is not effective for FFKM, fully molded or continuously molded designs are required to ensure consistent sealing performance.
