The Parker B0612-70 Butyl (IIR) compound is a 70 durometer black elastomer optimized for O-rings and gaskets requiring excellent vacuum performance and low compression set. With an operational range from -75°F to 250°F, it maintains flexibility and sealing integrity in environments exposed to polar fluids, steam, and glycol-based brake fluids. This compound offers exceptional resistance to ozone, aging, and weathering, making it ideal for static vacuum seals and long-duration service where low gas permeability is critical. Its ability to withstand exposure to hot water, phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids, and polar solvents ensures dependable performance in industrial and aerospace systems.
B0612-70 conforms to ASTM D2000 M4AA708 specifications and delivers consistent mechanical stability over time. It is not suitable for use with mineral oils, fuels, or chlorinated hydrocarbons. This Butyl formulation combines superior environmental resistance with minimal compression set, making it an excellent choice for vacuum, chemical, and high-purity sealing applications.
