Canrez® CP90BK03 is a 90 Shore A black FFKM compound engineered as Canyon’s AED (Anti-Explosive Decompression) material for high-pressure sealing in harsh environments. It provides near-universal chemical resistance, strong thermal stability, and low compression set at a lower cost compared to other popular brands of FFKM materials. Tested to NORSOK M-710 standards, CP90BK03 ensures reliable performance in rapid gas decompression conditions, making it an excellent choice for demanding oil and gas applications. With a service temperature range of -10°C to 240°C (14°F to 464°F) and short excursions up to 270°C (518°F), it maintains flexibility and sealing integrity under fluctuating thermal and pressure conditions.
CP90BK03 is ideal for use in oil and gas, chemical processing, and aerospace systems exposed to aggressive fluids and pressurized environments. It resists degradation from a wide range of chemicals while maintaining mechanical strength and dimensional stability. For applications requiring higher temperature AED performance, Canyon recommends Canrez® CP90BK01, rated for continuous service up to 310°C (590°F). This Canrez® formulation combines AED reliability, chemical versatility, and cost efficiency for demanding high-pressure sealing applications.
