Parker’s E1100-50 is a 50 Shore A black EPDM compound evaluated for performance in water and glycol-based environments where flexibility and chemical resistance are required. With a service temperature range of -70°F to 250°F, it maintains elasticity at very low temperatures while performing reliably in hot water and steam exposure. This compound is well suited for glycol-based brake fluids, phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids, silicone oils and greases, many organic and inorganic acids, cleaning agents, sodium and potassium alkalis, and a wide range of polar solvents. Its inherent resistance to ozone, aging, and weathering supports long-term durability in exposed industrial and automotive environments.
E1100-50 is commonly used in applications requiring a softer EPDM seal to accommodate movement, vibration, or low sealing loads in water-based and polar chemical systems. It is not recommended for use with mineral oil products such as oils, greases, or fuels.
