Greene Tweed’s Chemraz® 526 is a 97 Shore A black perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) specifically engineered for rapid gas decompression (RGD) resistance in harsh oilfield environments. It provides superior chemical compatibility and high-temperature stability, making it ideal for use in downhole and surface equipment exposed to high pressures, sour gas, and aggressive fluids. With a service temperature range of -20°C to 250°C (-4°F to 482°F), Chemraz® 526 delivers exceptional sealing integrity under dynamic decompression cycles where other elastomers fail. It successfully passed ISO 23936-2 and NORSOK M-710 testing protocols.
Chemraz® 526 combines broad chemical resistance with unmatched RGD protection, extending equipment life and reducing maintenance costs. It resists sour gas, acids, caustics, hot water, and steam, making it suitable for use in drilling tools, wireline tools, completion equipment, valves, and pumps. This perfluoroelastomer formulation is designed for extreme oilfield and energy sector applications requiring both RGD safety and long-term durability. Canyon Components offers equivalent FFKM materials that match or exceed the performance of Chemraz® 526 for oilfield, chemical processing, and high-pressure sealing applications.
