Parker’s N1527-70 is a 70 Shore A black nitrile rubber (NBR) compound designed for general-purpose sealing applications where oil resistance and UL listing are required. Operating across a service temperature range of -30°F to 225°F, it provides reliable sealing performance in contact with petroleum-based oils, cold water, salt and alkali solutions, and weak acids. This compound exhibits strong oil resistance with controlled swell behavior in fuel-adjacent environments, supporting consistent compression set and mechanical stability in static and light dynamic applications. Its balanced hardness makes it suitable for O-rings and gaskets used in industrial equipment, pumps, valves, and fluid-handling systems.

N1527-70 is not recommended for exposure to strong acids, glycols, ozone, polar solvents, or gasoline. This material is typically selected when dependable oil resistance, UL recognition, and cost-effective nitrile performance are key design requirements. Canyon Components offers equivalent NBR materials engineered to match the temperature capability, oil resistance, and UL-listed performance profile of Parker N1527-70 for industrial sealing applications.
