Parker’s N4007-95 is a 95 Shore A black hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR) compound engineered for extreme pressure, extrusion resistance, and rapid gas decompression (RGD) performance in oilfield and energy applications. Designed to meet NORSOK M-710 requirements, it operates reliably across a service temperature range of approximately -25°F to 300°F, with short-term capability to 325°F, while maintaining exceptional mechanical strength under high differential pressures. This compound offers excellent resistance to petroleum and synthetic hydrocarbon oils and greases, weathering and ozone, cold and hot water, alcohols, glycols, and R-134a refrigerant. Its high durometer and robust HNBR chemistry make it well suited for pressure cycling and aggressive service where standard elastomers may extrude or blister.

N4007-95 is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets in downhole tools, valves, packers, compressors, and other oil and gas equipment exposed to high pressure and rapid decompression. It is not recommended for automotive brake fluids, commercial aircraft hydraulic fluids, concentrated strong acids, polar solvents such as MEK or acetone, or chlorinated hydrocarbons. This material is selected when extrusion resistance and RGD performance are critical design drivers without moving to higher-cost FFKM solutions. Canyon Components offers equivalent HNBR materials designed to match the extrusion resistance, RGD capability, and NORSOK M-710 performance profile of Parker N4007-95.
