Parker V0747-75 is a 75 shore A black FKM compound designed for demanding sealing applications requiring compliance with AMS-R-83248 Type I Class I and UL listing. This material meets ASTM D2000 M2HK810 requirements and provides excellent resistance to petroleum, mineral, and vegetable oils, as well as aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, making it well suited for O-rings and gaskets in aerospace, fuel systems, and industrial equipment. It also performs reliably in high vacuum environments and offers strong resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging for long service life. With a typical service temperature range of approximately -15°F to 400°F, V0747-75 can be compared to Parker V1164-75 and other aerospace-grade FKM compounds when evaluating equivalent materials.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is critical. Aerospace-grade FKM materials such as those meeting AMS specifications provide enhanced reliability and consistency for critical sealing applications. These compounds are commonly used in aerospace, automotive, and industrial systems where chemical resistance, thermal stability, and durability are essential. While highly versatile, FKM materials are generally not recommended for hot water, steam, or certain polar solvents, making proper material selection important for long-term sealing performance.
