Parker V1262-65 is a 65 shore A black FKM compound engineered for low swell performance in flex fuel and blended fuel environments. This UL listed material meets ASTM D2000 M7HK607 requirements and is well suited for O-rings and gaskets used in fuel systems exposed to ethanol blends, petroleum-based fluids, and aggressive hydrocarbons. Its lower durometer improves conformability and sealing in tight tolerance applications, while maintaining excellent resistance to aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, high vacuum conditions, and environmental aging. With a typical service temperature range of approximately -15°F to 400°F, V1262-65 can be compared to other low swell FKM compounds when evaluating equivalent materials for modern fuel systems.

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is essential. Low swell FKM compounds are specifically formulated to minimize volume change when exposed to aggressive fuel blends, including ethanol and biofuels, helping maintain sealing integrity over time. These materials are commonly used in automotive fuel systems, oil and gas applications, and industrial equipment where chemical compatibility and dimensional stability are critical. While highly versatile, FKM materials are generally not recommended for hot water, steam, or certain polar solvents beyond their limits, making proper material selection essential.
