Parker’s VM125-75 is a 75 Shore A black fluorocarbon (FKM) compound classified as a GLT type elastomer, engineered for enhanced low-temperature flexibility and broad chemical resistance. With a service temperature range of -40°F to 400°F, it provides reliable sealing performance in applications where standard FKM materials become brittle at reduced temperatures. The compound is compatible with mineral oils, IRM 901 through 903 test oils, nonflammable hydraulic fluids, silicone oils, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and fuels such as gasoline and natural gas. Its excellent resistance to ozone, weathering, and oxidative aging supports long service life in demanding industrial and aerospace environments.

 

VM125-75 meets AMS-R-83485 and ASTM D2000 M4HK714 specifications, ensuring consistent mechanical and thermal performance in critical sealing applications. Its low-temperature resilience, strong tensile properties, and reduced compression set make it suitable for both static and dynamic seals exposed to extreme operating conditions. The compound is not recommended for glycol-based brake fluids, amines, alkalis, superheated steam, or low molecular weight organic acids.
